FAQ

Straight answers.

How much does a website cost?

Every project is different, so we quote each one individually and the price is fixed. Use our quote builder or email us with what you need, and you will get a fixed price by email within one working day.

Do I own the website and the code?

Yes. Once the final invoice is paid, you own the design, the code and the content. It lives in a repository you control, and you can take it to another developer at any time.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. Every build includes a content management system set up around your pages, plus a recorded training session. Most clients edit text, images, products and blog posts without contacting us.

Why not just use a template or a site builder?

Builders are fine for a simple brochure site. Once you need bookings tied to your staff calendar, trade pricing for logged-in customers, or data flowing into Xero, a custom build is faster, cheaper to run long-term and does not lock you into monthly plugin fees.

Can you move my existing site without losing Google rankings?

Yes. We audit every indexed URL, map redirects page by page, carry over metadata and monitor Google Search Console after launch.

Where are you based?

Brikd is based in Hexham, Northumberland. We work with businesses across the Tyne Valley, Northumberland and Tyneside, and with clients across the rest of the UK. Workshops happen in person or on video calls, whichever suits you.

How do payments work?

Usually 30% to start, 40% at design sign-off and 30% at launch. Larger projects can be split into monthly stages.

Tell us what your site needs to do.

Send us a short brief and we will email you a fixed quote within one working day. No obligation.
